Its not everyday when a game just pops up out of thin air and launches without even 1 review out for weeks. I mean i don't see the reason why not to review a game priced so low but since no one has I'll step up give the lowdown.
This game has a pretty similar feel to Geometry Wars. Its so familiar to that game, you may just brush it off to think its a complete copy. Well you'd be kinda right.
It controls the same if you calibrate your Xbox 360 controller right and it feels the same too. But instead of just trying to survive from relentless attackers like in GW, you try to destroy all the enemies on screen to get to the next wave. You can choose a difficulty before you start. There is Easy, Normal, Hard, and Intense. The difficulty just changes the amount of enemies on screen and on Intense, you'll be surround by hoards of enemy ships most of the time. This game feels more like a traditional shmup than how GW plays because of the appearance of enemy ships and how relentless their attacks are to you.
The special effect of this game are all over the place. Just about everything is shining so at first you don't know what is a power up and what can kill you. There are only 2 power ups. Yellow ship like circles that can be collected and a shining ball with 4 smaller balls that rotate around it which may or may not have lightning on it. The Yellow ships give you more points while the ball with balls (heh) gives you either more points, a triple shot power up or invincibility.
All in all, this game is more of a diversion than anything else. I've only played it 3 times myself before moving on, but I know I'll play it again. This game is more for people who want to set high-scores and to those, you'll have a good amount of fun playing this. Others will just forget about it. But if you like shmup's I think spending $4 isn't so bad for a good game like this.
