The lack of shooters for the Xbox 360 can give Bullet Witch an advantage, but not enough to rise as a recommended game.
As usual in a shotter, Bullet Witch doesnt take long to put you in the battle field. After a few cranky cutscenes that give you a feel of your character Alicia, you'll be ready to take on the world. The problem is that this is not always a war worth fighting for.
Overall, the concept of this game is quiet simplistic - Shoot everything that moves. And in the first minutes of the game this literally the only thing that you do. Fortunately, the developers where smart enough to explore this whole witch concept, although not very deeply. This way, at the end of each level you'll be able to spend points based on your general score in several different characteristics of Alicia, including health, magic power, and, of course, spells. This is a quite basic RPG component, but it does its job in adding content to the game.
The storyline starts off slow, but it develops well as the game continues. You'll soon realize that the demon invasion to the world is more related to Alicia than it seems, leading eventually to the reasons of her existence. Don't be expecting anything special out of the story or dialogues, just be glad that, for an action game, this as more of a story than the usual. As mentioned before, you'll in charge of hunting these demons, allied in some levels with military forces.
Unfortunately, Bullet Witch ends up failing in the basics. While you can squeeze some fun out of the shooting, with the help of spells to make your job easier, you'll soon get tired, once you realize that this is pretty much the only thing that you do. That are certainly some excellent moments (boss fights, destructive scenarios and powerful spells in mind), but they end up being ruined by the same old shooting - at the same old enemies, that don't demonstrate any intelligence at all. When you cross this with bland visuals and 8 hours of game with no replay value, you certainly won't get much in your hands.
If your looking for some mindless enemy shooting, Bullet Witch can certainly satisfy your homicidal wishes for a few hours, but don't be expecting more than some fist and fire in this linear and repetitive game.

The Good:
Alicia is a great character - Fun, yet few, spells to use - Destructive and relatively open scenarios give you a good sense of power - RPG component ands variety and fits the game well - Some memorable boss fights - Story as a decent development throughout the game.
The Bad:
Repetitive gameplay with little replay value - Dated visuals rarely show potential - Poorly varied scenarios and enemies - Enemy AI as severe flaws - Doesnt last more than 8 hours.
