This game deserves a review as short as it is. What the hell was Cliffy B thinking?

I will admit that this game can grasp you for the first 2-3 hours of fun you will have. But, then it ends. No matter the amount of new weaponry you are introduced to, no matter the slightly changing dynamics of the enemies, it cant pull you back in. I'll start at the end because this game could as easily be played in reverse. By the end of the game you will be praying for it to end. I don't know how it was accomplished, yet EA and Epic have produced a game that has a 6-9 hour run through time, which feels like 15. It could be the redundancy of everything that this game has to offer, or the puke-in-your-mouth plot line they used. Admittedly, this is not a game you play for the story line. If you want to blow shit up and see a point counter going off all the time then sure, this is probably for you. But if you need a little depth for your gaming enjoyment, steer clear. Because this game has nothing to offer in the creativity department.

As far as "playability" goes its pretty solid. Good mechanics and physics in-game. Decent sound quality (although the voice acting is nothing short of wretched) and vibrant visuals. Online is a miss as well. Basic objective gameplay, basic deathmatch, whatever. It could have easily been left out, yet, I sense that they put it in the game to make it worth that, oh... $60 too many dollars that this game was worth. They added a sort of "time-trial" mode called echoes. In short you replay each chapter in an attempt to achieve the highest score, quickest time etc. You get the drill. Again I feel like they padded the hell out of this game.

In conclusion I would have to say that if you were in a party environment (with lots, AND lots of alcohol) this game is pretty damn fantastic. But if you're looking for a serious sit-down gaming session you're in for a disappointing ride.
You have to take this game with a can of salt, because its extremely gritty.
