Power, Chicks, Respect - Live Out Your Pubescent Fantasies!

User Rating: 8.7 | Bully PS2
Bully gets almost everything right. The tone is playful and sometimes silly, but the game is always engaging. Bully allows you to do everything you would have wanted to do when you were 15 (well, almost). Controls and many gameplay elements are similar to the GTA3 games, so if you like those, and the setting in any way appeals to ypu, you will have a good time playing Bully. Bully is not nearly as big a game as, for example GTA: SA, but as a result, it is more tightly focused. Not once in 20 hours have I found myself staring blankly at the walls, wondering what to do next.

One criticism - Sometimes weapons are harder to use than they should be. Perhaps it is just a matter of becoming more familiar with the controls, but it seems like far too many times I have set off a fire-cracker or stink bomb in a way I didn't mean to. Fortunately, in Bully, even failure can be kind of fun. Detention sucks, but it opens up its own mini-games, so it's a fun kind of sucking.
