An addictive, hilarious, awesome masterpiece.
Bully sets you in Bullworth Academy in the surrounding town of Bullworth, as Jimmy Hopkins, who has just been dropped off at Bullworth by his mom and her seventh husband, who are leaving on a yearlong honeymoon cruise and don't want to be distruped by a mischivious 15 year old. Jimmy has been expelled from all the schools he has attended and it doesn't look like Bullworth is going to be any diffrent. The academy has 5 cliques: Nerds (smart and weak), Preppies (rich snobs), Greasers (the tough kids), Jocks (meatheads) and of course Bullys. Each has a leader that you will eventually fight. There is also a respect system that will determine how each clique treats you. If you have bad respect they will always want to pick a fight with you. If you have moderate respact they will just ignore you, and if you have good respect they will help you in fights whenever possible.
Each character is colorful and has his/her own character design. Algie is a fat, short nerd who wets himself easily. Damon is a tough but dumb jock with an ambition to someday fight a gorilla. Johnny is a jealous leader of the greasers ready to fight anyone who would touch his girlfriend Lola (who is a complete slut).
There are 10 classes that you can participate in. They are minigames that go on twice everyday. They can be boring and occasionally challenging, but you can earn rewards for doing them. Shop class, for example, can earn you a bike, which gets faster everytime you go to Shop class. Art class will give you the ability to give gifts to girls in exchange for a kiss, which yields a health bonus. Music simply gives you new clothing.
Which brings me to the outfit feature. The number of options for clothing is infinite. There are shops all over Bullworth that let Jimmy buy clothes. There are also minigames and missions that give you outfits.
When you finish the amazing story, the fun still isn't over. The Endless Summer mode lets you tie up any side missions, collectibles, or classes you missed during the game. There is also a multiplayer mode where you compete in Minigames such as English class or a gallery shoot-out.
The weapons in Bully are interesting too. Instead of the typical guns, knives, and sniper, you've got bottle rocket launchers, firecrackers, stink bombs, and a slingshot with a scope. Chemistry class unlocks most weapons, and certain missions unlock others for avaibility at your dorm room.
The voice acting is also phenomonal. Each character sounds unique. From the high pitched nerdy voice of Algernon, to the low voice of Russel. Each fits it's clique and character design perfectly.
Overall, Bully Scholarship Edition is one of the best games around. It's a game that almost anyone can enjoy one way or another, and it's a good alternative to Grand Theft Auto. If you own a Xbox 360 or Wii and you don't have Bully already, I strongly suggest buying it. $30 is a good price for such a big package of awesome.
