I've played GTA for many years now, starting with GTA 3 about seven years ago. I can't remember exactly, but it was around 2000. I loved it because of the laid back and fun attitude to blowing up people in spectacular fashion. It was just an amazing all round game. After getting San Andreas as soon as it was released, when I heard that Bully was going to be similar, but in a school with you playing as a kid with skateboard and slingshot at his disposal. I had no doubt that it would be a good game, but I was convinced that it wasn't going to be as fun as GTA games. I bought it all the same, happy that Rockstar were still making games regularly. I got stuck in and it started quite slowly, with the typical GTA format of doing missions which you can choose from at any moment. As I progressed through the lessons which had to be completed before I had any serious free time, I began to like it. The lessons were fun and I especially liked Art while English was ridiculously difficult. After I completed the lessons, I enjoyed mowing lawns for money and so on. I liked the bike and skateboard idea and the weapons were fun to use, if not proper guns. I wanted to drive cars too, but you can't have everything. The map wasn't huge, but the amount of stuff you could do was amazing. It just kept me playing for ages with intervals in between because I couldn't play for long periods of time without trying something else out. It was a great game, but it was just lacking that factor which made me go back to San Andreas every day for a while after playing it. Unique and special game, but like I said at the start. I thought it wasn't going to be as fun as GTA games...and I was right.
