Welcome to Bullworth Acedemy, enjoy your stay. And some stay it is.

User Rating: 9 | Bully PS2
You play as young Jimmy Hawkins. Now young Jimmy has managed to be expelled from every school he's been to and is stuck going to Bullworth Academy while his parents enjoy a relaxing vacation, for the entire year.

Now Bullworth is more than your typical high school, it the worst of the worst. Bullies are abundant and run rampant though the halls, picking on the poor defenseless nerds. Jocks rule the school and greasers hang out by auto shop. Your a new kid, a stranger in a strange land and within your first five minutes you manage to break multiple school rule rule, hassle the principle and make enemies of the school's resident bullies. Now Jimmy must overthrow the bullies and climb his way to the top of the social ladder.

Despite the clames of the media and lawyers without a client base, in Bully your not really the Bully. In fact, you spend most of your time helping out those less fortunate. Whether it be helping out a nerd who's being picked on by Bullies, or receiving G & G character sheets that were stolen from the nerds, you really get the feeling that Jimmy is more of an champion of the underdogs than an actual bully. Although this doesn't mean you can't give a nerd a wedgie from time to time or shove one in the odd locker.

This is helped by some fantastic voice acting, every joyfully sarcastic and sneering remark is delivered with top notch voice acting for both Jimmy and other characters alike. Sound design is also on the spot as windows shatter and fire alarms wail with satisfying results.

Another great thing about the game is the environment. Unlike GTA were it the same three skins over and over again, Bullworth is populated by individual student's. Each has his/her own personality and design. Take Russel, a mildly retarded 7 foot tall who acts as the leader of the bullies.

Along with the primary missions, which chronicle Jimmy's rise to power, there are a variety of side-missions and things to collect. While they lack the sheer amount of San Andreas, they are interesting diversions that benefit your character. There are also classes. While they may seem mundane, they actually give you an incentive to do as they benefit your character.

Overall Bully is a great game. Immersive storytelling, great characters and variety bring this game to the top of the pack. While it may not have the sheer millage of games like San Andreas, Bullworth is a place I wouldn't want to go to, but never wanted to leave.
