Adrenaline pumping, brains storming, heart valves clicking, this game has every bit that it takes to keep you at the edge of your seat for hours. A non-racing game fan like myself find this game hard to resist in many ways; superb graphics, in depth landscape design, great car models, sweet sound effects and over 40 different songs as Background music…with all these great features in store, you can expect some addictive game play and sleepless nights. Pros: If you have always wanted to be a lunatic on the road (and of course you will never get the chance) here is a chance for you to live your fantasy, and you can do it with style. BO3 (BurnOut3) comes with varying game modes such as the "single event", the "World tour", and the "multiplayer" option where you can live the nightmare on road with several other friends of yours. In the single event, you can choose to play "Road Rage" (which is my favorite) in which you get to race and at the same time, bang the hell out of your opponent's cars. When I mention "bang" it means some serious carnage will be generated and you are going to love it… EA Games has designed various ways of "car-disposal" for you and me lunatics alike…You can shunt into your opponent's car, slam into the side of his car, or you can grind your car hard against his car and see whose car paint is more durable… Other than that if you can gather enough speed to crash into the opponent's car, you might send him flying high into mid air before falling down hard on ground and then skidding for another few meters or so before shooting into some on-coming cars or trailers, wonderful isn't it? Other than the "Road Rage" mode, you can also play the "Crash" feature, where you have to use your wicked and twisted mind to think of ways to gather pile-ups of vehicles in traffic. You can either speed into traffic, or slide off a board and turn 360 degrees in mid-air and fall graciously into traffic, it's all in the game. A point worth noting is that driving skills does matter, and you have to use your skills to time your crashes and avoid traffic to achieve your goals, which makes the entire game even sweeter. Forget about all the madness for a while and you can also race in GP modes, or try to finish laps as fast as you can. In the "World Tour" you follow a series of race events or crash events and in turn unlock each subsequent event by earning medals. Medals are awarded when you hit a certain amount of "damage costs" calculated from the total of car wrecks or vehicles that you have destroyed. Unlock able cars in this game are plenty and you have to earn points to unlock them. In some events, you have to out-race your opponent to win his car. You won't believe it when you get to drive all sorts of vehicles such as the courier delivery vans, garbage cars etc, much to your delight, of course. If you are very skillful with your fingers, sometimes you get some nice photo shots of the carnage being done, such as if you bump your opponents into the river, you get a photo shot titled "Gone Fishing"; These are called the "Signature Takedowns". You can also get featured in the headlines if you cause a massive devastation and all the shots and headlines will be saved into your user profile for viewing. The speed is incredible in this game, other than acceleration; you can "Boost" your way through. This "Boost" is available when you take risks in driving (Such as drifting, driving on the wrong lane etc) or when you have succeeded in taking down an opponent's car. The more dangerously you drive the more boosts you will gather and the more speed you will get. Like I have said, there are over 40 different steamy background music tracks for this game, and they are extremely good. Sound effects are tailored to near perfection. The running commentary of the game is hilarious and fun. Excellent in-game graphics and CGs are breath-taking. Cons: Only two camera angles are available… One is the 1st person view and the other one is a standard looking from the back view. Some races can prove to be tough and there are no difficulty level adjustments. Final Verdict: A "MUST BUY" for everyone, even if you are not a racing game fan.
