What a fantastic game.. no really. The fastest game of it's type and generation. The graphics are actually really very good with lavish detail put into tracks and cars. The soundtrack is superb with many many gems from some less mainstream artists, but so good that I ended up searching for some of the songs to buy later. Lots to unlock, lots to do and see.

Multi player really shines - with the party crash junction mode being the most popular variant with myself and my friends. You can still do a one-on-one race and there is a 'crash your opponent out first to ten' (ahem) mode which is also so much fun.

Worth it's own special mention is the crash physics and damage engine. Never before have I seen so many little bits of glass, sparks and general metal shrapnel come together in such an artistic glorified mess. It is just a marvel to watch these crashes in slow-motion. You will wonder how the developers squeezed so much detail out of a PS2 game.

If you have not played this game do so soon.. and get some mates over for a party crash - which is so unique in itself.
