Burnout 3 is the epitomy of what a race game should be!

For all hardcore Gran Turismo fans, this game might not be for you. For the rest of humanity, this game is fun! This really is the people's game. The breakneck speeds, clever track design, and aggressive opponents make Burnout 3 the best racing game on the PS2 and Xbox right now. (Yes it is better than Revenge and Dominator.) The graphics are nice, with good looking cars. It would have been cool to have actual cars in the game, but whatever, it doesn't matter that much. The soudn is great, the smashing of glass and crunching of metal all sound very realistic. Gameplay stays fresh throughout the game since you can always go to crash mode if you get tired of racing. I do have some problems with crash mode: there are a lot of load times. You cannot control the camera, this gets frustrating when trying to aim for powerups.
But otherwise crash mode is so much fun. Sometimes I can spend hours in crash mode and completely forget that there is a racing mode at all!
It is a really fun game and a worthy addition to any gamers collection.
