A phenomenally brilliant game that satisfies every need of an intense racing gamer… Nice arcade control, amazingly brill

Burnout 3: Takedown is by far my favorite racing game of all time. The controls are spot on and the races are intense and eye-wateringly good to watch. The graphics are above average in the details on the driver's car and the roads but the water and other pedestrian vehicles were slightly lacking in brilliance. The fact that I have played Resident Evil 4 and seen amazing water effects is partly to blame but the slight graphical problems I have pointed out are the fruits of nitpicking and nothing to diminish the overall value of the game. The sound has your decent smattering of rock and pop tracks which I normally ignored and, other than that, a player will only here the screech of tires and the revving of an engine which are averagely done thus deserving a 7/10. The gameplay is intuitive and is easy to hop on and play with tons upon tons of events to participate in but perfectionists and "100%-completionists" beware: if you expect to do every event and unlock everything, prepare to be disappointed as the Burning Lap and other time trials are absolutely aggravating and require 110% mastery of the game. Others may not have had these problems but I did. Overall, a great game with miniscule graphical downfalls and intensive difficulty.
