Brilliance!
The addictive gameplay coupled with stunning visuals and satisfying crash sound effects leaves little to be desired at all. The sense of speed and danger are conveyed extremely well, really letting you feel the excitement of dodging oncoming traffic at high speed, drifting hairpin corners and obliterating the competition. The sweet crushing noises of steel raining upon asphalt are nigh but perfect and further help to immerse the player in a sensation of devastating power. The controls are very tight and well done, especially on the ps2 IMO, as the thumbstick control for both acceleration and steering lends itself well to skillfull maneuvering. The sheer number of events to do in-game means that you'll have many many hours of high-impact fun. Crash mode creates a nice change of pace, allowing the player to create as much mayhem as possible, and the rewards and unlocks throughout the game keep you coming back for more, and more, and more...
Burnout 3 is nonstop, all awesome, all the time. If you don't already own it, buy it now, just do it.
