Burnout Dominator for the PS2 and PSP is the bomb without crash mode, traffic checking and online multiplayer and this is why.First of all,any racing game that is literally pulse pounding intense action more than any other racing game i have ever played in my life is definitely a winner .Even though according to some real video game critics that Burnout Dominator takes a few steps backwards, Criterion's decision to do this is clearly a deliberate one.I actually LOVE the fact that burnout chaining is back because i actually missed it since it was last seen in Burnout 2.Unlike one video game critics suggestion in his review on 1up.com that this last installment for the PS2 is easier than the previous burnout games, this is definitely not the case at all.Burnout Dominator is very challenging just like the previous editions because in this last burnout game for the PS2 you have to master the all new drift, near miss, and maniac modes to unlock every unlockable car and track on the game.It is also very challenging to unlock all of the new signature shortcuts because the only way to discover all of the shortcuts this time is to force the computer A.I. cars to crash into them with skillful and deliberate recklessness only. All you had to do to take advantage of all of the shortcuts in the previous burnout games was to just skillfully discover or find them. Now you have to earn all of the shortcuts in order to take advantage of them. The graphics are very similar to Burnout Revenge on the PS2 but they should have pushed the PS2 to it's limits this time as the final installment for burnout on the PS2.The sound is good but could have been more intense and frightening than ever before.I think the replay value is very high whether you are playing the split-screen multiplayer mode or just the world tour and the all new record breaker single player mode.Burnout Dominator is definitely worth the $40 dollar price tag.
I’ve seen a lot of people upset over this Burnout. Personally this is probably the best one yet. This game goes back to its roots by taking the game play of the first one and setting it ablaze to make Dominator. The lack... Read Full Review
