Burnout Paradise is one of the best arcade racing games ever. It's worth double it's 20$ price tag.
It has sleek cars, open world gameplay, awesome single player/multiplayer mode, and it just kicks some ass!
Graphics: This game looks great. Above average of games made today. But what is really realistic are car crashes. When you crash you really see the deformation on the car's body in slow-motion. It's some awesome effect. Also, the blur effect when you're in First Person view and that you go fast is awesome. It just looks great.
Originality: It's a very original game. There is 4 main types of races: "don't remember the name", stunt run, classic race, survival mode.
Don't remember the name: You need to break opponent's cars by smashing them on other cars or on the side of the road to break them. Like a derby but in the streets in a 120 miles per hour ride.
Stunt run: You need to do lots of stunts and combo before the time runs out. This is very complicated at the end of the game.
Classic race: Enter description here (LOL)
Survival mode: You need to get up to somewhere in the city before the other cars have smashed you about 4 times. This is hard without the Inferno Van! (full strenght).
Showdown: It's a really arcade and unrealistic-centered-no-physics-used-at-all-thigny where you need to smash other cars using your nitro and crashing into everyone. You get a bonus if you get combos and smash bus.
Overall: This game is really awesome and is worth at least 2 times it's price tag. Make sure to check the gamespot video review of it and you'll get a feel of the game. It ain't our good old Flatout 2, but it's sure as good or maybe even better (yeah, it's even better). So get this game and discover Paradise City.
