Burnout Paradise, does what it says on the tin!

Ok, I've had this game for a while now but I thought I'd give it the review treatment. This is the first Burnout game to be given the live enabled open world treatment, and let me tell you, I was worried about that.
My biggest concern was in respect of the size of the playable area. Make it too big and it becomes tedious, make it too small and it becomes repetitive and boring. Well, I found Criterion have created the perfect balance. Paradise City is neither small or big, it is rightly sized. You never get bored as a new challenge awaits at every street corner online or offline.
The selection of cars is broad and the unlockables makes it broader. The selection of challenges are pretty much very similar to previous instalments and are pretty much the reason why so many people love the Burnout series.
Everything about this game, oozes entertainment. What more could we ask for? Well, Criterion (the makers of the game) did not wait for such question, they have released several expansion packs to make this game the most memorable Burnout game in the series. The best of the best have to be all the additional car packs, the bikes, the new game modes (party is such a blast!), the cops and robbers mode and finally the long awaited Big Surf Island.
People that have purchased this game certainly have made the right choice when it came down to a seriously fun arcade racer.
In all and for all, there is loads to see and do in Paradise City, don't listen to people saying this game is boring and repetitive, they obviously have not been playing the same game!
Buy it or Rent it? Well, if it makes you feel better, try the demo from either Live or PSN. But I guarantee you this game is a must own should you enjoy arcade racers. My score 09/10

P.S: Word of advice, should you buy this game, you will need some kind of cleansing solution for your eyes as the HD graphics and the blistering speed will melt them out their sockets ;)
