Where Burnout 3 was an experiment, Revenge is the final result.

Burnout 3 was an addicting game... its simplicity matched no other. Now that Revenge is out, it builds upon that same addicting flavor with a solid balance of gameplay. I'll just state a few points since the GS review was similiar to my response to the game. Powerups are gone in crash mode, an obvious improvement. When Burnout 3 came out, I kept going back to Burnout 2 since their crash levels offered more diverse ways to create mayhem, not just get the 4x multiplier every time. In car selection, Revenge gets rid of the useless classes and narrows it to several that are well balanced and useful in every respect, rather than always getting the dominator super. Graphics, sounds, and even music is worlds above Burnout 3. Overall, these 3 categories take a darker tone over the game which suits it, rather than the almost chirpy attitude Burnout 3 had. So yeah. Great game. Go get it.
