Criterion has done it again.
The game gives an incredible sense of speed to the players, and that's the thing I most care about in a racing game. I play these kind of games to be able to do things that I can't usually do in real-life streets, and Burnout Revenge certainly gives you a chance to do these. You'll be literally jamming through the traffic, slamming into cars, going dangerously in the oncoming traffic, jumping from ramps and all kind of dangerous stuff that you would like to do. But of course the best of all is doing takedowns. Like in Burnout 3, your takedowns in this game gives you a sense of satisfaction that you don't get in any other racing game.
Among the new additions to Burnout, the only thing I didn't like was being able to just hit the cars that are going on the same way as you. I think this made the game easier and was an unnecessary addition. But I enjoyed the addition of ramps from which you can fly from, and the addition of shourtcuts to maps which prevents them from getting boring after a while. Also the removal of the silly Crash FM dj also made me happy, I just hated him.
Burnout Revenge is one of the best racing games ever, but it's true that it doesn't add much to the old Burnout Takedown. This is a good think in my point of view, because they just improved the game with small additions, rather than making revolutionary changes and making a bad game. İf you were expecting a totally new game you might be disapointed but for all the others I strongly recommend Burnout Revenge..
