I never picked up Burnout 3, but I've played it plenty of times with friends. When Burnout Revenge came out, I decided to get copy of my own and I couldn't be happier. Burnout Revenge is Burnout 3, but with a few new features to really kick it up a notch. One of the newest features is the new mode of play called traffic attack. Traffick attack encourages players to drive more recklessly than ever before by rewarding them for ramming into as much traffic as possible. Of course, the old modes of play such as race, road rage, and party crash are still available. Party crash can allow up to 8 players to play, each taking turns trying to cause the biggest crash possible. The game's graphics: Couldn't look better for the PS2. Very clear, even when rocketing through the countryside at 200 miles per hour. The blurring effects at high speeds add a nice touch, giving you the feeling that you're actually racing at high speeds. Sound: Great sound effects, explosions, tire screeches, etc. The music is good, but could of been better. I found myself skipping tracks to only a select few songs that I liked. Some of these songs I believe have also been recycles from other games. It seems that EA doesn't feel like buying the right to new songs and just uses whatever they have over and over again. Overall, its a great game. Lots of racing styles in the world circuit will keep you busy for hours. The cars look fantastic and its always exciting to unlock and race with new cars that are rewarded frequently as you complete the world circuit.
