Smash Something!!!!!!

User Rating: 9.8 | Burnout Revenge PS2
To level with everyone, driving game are not my cup of tea. I'm serious; Gran Turismo can kiss my butt. But Burnout Revenge has been getting praise all over, so I decided to see what the fuss was about. After playing it for hours, I really enjoyed it and would recommend it everyone who isn't even in to driving games.

Graphicly, it's got to be one of best looking PS2 game on the market. The Car models look very good, and seeing them get all smashed up in a crash is even better. The environments and backgrounds are the best I've seen since Tekken 5. They probably would look better on XBOX, but PS2 games don't look this good.

The gameplay is easy to get into. It'll probably take you only 15 minutes to master the buttons at lease. And the stuff you can do in the game are too too addictive. You can knock your rivals into walls, crates, tow trucks, big rigs, oncoming traffic, anything that'll make an insurance company's head spin.

The sound is the game's weak point. I'm not talking about the in-game sound, that's on point from the roar of the engine to the sound of the crashes. I'm talking about the damn music. Not everyone who plays this game is gonna like the soundtrack. I guess EA thought that only punk rockers would like this game. It's nothing, though I would suggest turning down your tv, and turning on your studio.

In short, there no reason not to check this game out. And it's just $20? Like Nike, you better "just do it".
