One reason that I like Nintendo, is that unlike Sega in the 1990's; even WHEN Nintendo developed a superior video game system with the N64 AFTER the Super NES, unlike Sega did when they switched to the Saturn from the Sega Genesis; Nintendo didn't completely abandon 2D video games. And a good thing to, because even though 3D games started to take off in popularity in the late 1990's; Taito (along with some other video game companies at the time), decided to prove that there were still a good number of 2D games that could not only be made, but also enjoyed! Picking up from where the first game left off; once again playing as either Bub or Bob, you once again have to carefully aim your cursor, and successfully pop all the bubbles on your screen BEFORE they go over the line! While the controls are easy to learn, mastering the skills it takes to really BEAT the game will be ANYTHING but easy! In addition to the returning bubble colors, there are now rainbow color bubbles that will turn into the color of whatever bubble colors get popped right next to them, star bubbles that will automatically pop ALL the matching colors of a bubble that hits them, and wooden blocks that CAN'T be popped (although you CAN occasionally get a bowling ball which will knock away ANYTHING in its path, including a wooden block), and will require you to pop the bubbles on the blocks before you can finish a stage! This game definitely benefits from the leap to the N64, as it features more varied background choices, more different music backgrounds, better graphics, and the same great controls as the first game. Just be aware that the challenge in beating this game is a lot more challenging than the first one. The nice thing about this game is depending on which path you take, and where you end up in terms of the final stage; will determine which ending (out of seven different endings possible), you will see at the end; making this game have more replay value than the first! If you want to play another fun puzzle game, it's hard to beat the challenge that can be had, on the N64 version of "Bust-A-Move 2". Enough said, true believers!
