Fantastic game! fun levelling, wars, duels anything you could possible want
After logging on for your first time you are greeted with a server a list which in the European version contains the servers: Jupiter, Mars and Mercury
Open up one and you get a choice of channels.
You can play your characters on all channels of the server you created it on, but not others.
You have a choice of six classes:
Warrior: HUGE swords, especially later on in the game with big whacking armor and strength to match, typical strength based melee class
Blader:Personally, i love this class. They wield dual blades, dual katanas or a blade and a katana. These guys simply look cool and are extremely speedy in melee battle, relying on dexterity and speedy combo's of skills in battle
Wizard: Uber destructive spell bearing class. The games mage. I find this one particularly fun to play with, their huge damage gives them the ability to defeat higher levels than most other classes could, but as is the typical with magic users, they don't have much health but luckily can rely on a freezing spell at the start to hold an enemy still for a while.
Force sheilder: Wields a blade in one hand(usually) and a speical type of crystal in the other. They come with a skill that allows them to turn their crystal into an 'astral shield' which increases defense and comes with some unique abilities. The better the crystal, the better the astral shield.
Force blader: The bladers cousin, and surprisingly, rival(grrrr).
These sport a blade or katana in one hand and an orb in the other and use magic for spells and to enchant their weapon.
Force archer: The magical archer. This guy uses a special crystal which functions almost the same as the force shielder's except with a special skill can summon an astral bow, luckily with infinite arrows :P. This guy uses magical arrow attacks to defeat the enemy.
All different characters start in 3 different places.
The blader and wizard start in Desert scream
The Warrior and force shielder in Bloody ice
The Force blader and Force archer in Green despair
When you enter the game, you receive a mission to talk to someone who will set you off on a tutorial and your first set of quests.
Cabal's quest system is quite amazing
Most the quests are designed so that when you complete all the quests you can do at your level, you level up bringing you the next levels set of quests.
The quests just never end...
As for the music, well its just the best music ever to be included in a game..
It has great sound, no lyrics but no crap where you find the area suddenly goes silent and you get a bit of music when you start a battle.
Graphics aren't totally perfect but are very very good.
Storyline isn't really much if you don't read the text which even then isn't all that much.
Gameplay is good, though constantly pressing the same combination of skills can be repetitive. The skills system is quite good, basically in most fights you must use your special skills through the whole thing and hardly ever use a normal attack.Using skills will use MP/SP.
PvP involves different techniques; On white colored channels(also known as PvP disabled channels) you have to request a duel with people to fight them.On green channels(PvP enabled channels) you can attack people freely and at will.On the war servers, i think its just clan vs clan or something(not sure).
Forum support is great, i had a problem and people were swarming to help me.
Learning is easy, no a**holes who call you noobs(usually anyway)
The game does have a problem with gold sellers who tend to hang around warp gates and in desert screams village spamming gold selling sites
All in all, its a great game and its free, so give it a go!
