Wow, Im hooked.
Its been a while since I've been hooked on a game, not since the remake of the original "Resident Evil", I played it whenever I had the chance, the story is great and keeps you wanting more, my only real complaint is that it seems very short. The beginning is well panned out, up to the Refinery, about %50 through the game, it starts feeling incomplete, I mean that in a gameplay sense, as I said, the beginning is perfectly panned out, and the ending is great too, the game just feels like it doesnt, or it doesnt have enough, of a middle, and it makes it very short, my second time through I beat it in just around 3 or so hours.
Graphical-wise, the game isnt the best, and it isnt the worst, the worlds are very detailed and the character models seem balanced, but it all feels a bit too cartooney, and so do the voice overs, it all just seems a bit silly, but manageable in any sense. When it comes to the sounds, the gunfire is great, Jacks sneers in pain are great, ambiance is great and the music is wonderful, the only downfall is the all-too-corny voice acting, which is always a problem in survival horror games. In the end, for most people Cthulhu may seem like a one time only thing, but its a great one time experience, and I'm currently playing through the game again.
