Good but not great

Call of Duty Big Red One is a good WW2 shooter which you should give it a try if you like that genre. The shooting is good, you get a high amount of good weapons in your hand and the missions are fun to do with variety of different objects in it. But Big Red One just doesn't give the player the sense of fighting in a real war athmosphere.
It's hard to explain because as I stated above all the elements of a good game are present in Big Red One but maybe because of the ps2 controllers, or maybe because the story isn't that good Big Red One fails to be a great game. You will understand what I mean if you have played the PC version of Call of Duty 2. In that game the action is so good that you really feel like you are in the war, but Big Red One lacks this atmosphere. But still if you have played and liked the Finest Hour you'll definetely like this game and should buy it. In the other hand, if you have a nice PC you should certainly play the PC version: Call of Duty 2, and shouldn't buy this game...
