Call of Duty 3 is a sequal to the famous WWII franchise. In most COD games you switch between different countries and fight in their side. The most famous countries you arleady know is the Russians, British, and Americans that you played in the past COD games. This game takes you to being the Polish army, Canadian, and of course the Americans. This game takes place after D-Day and in the Normandy Breakout in France. If you haven't played COD2, then this game is going to be similar to that. You have no health so that means if you tooken hits a lot your sceen will go red. From that point you need to find cover before you take any more damage, or else you die. If you have played COD2 then this game shouldn't suprise you. There is the same action experience but in a different setting. So what makes this different from COD2? This game features destructible enviroment and a physic engine. You can blast your bullets on a wooden fence and soon it will break. This means that you can get enemies behind cover, but becareful they can also do the same to you. Another huge thing in COD3 is being able to drive vehicles. You can now drive jeeps, tanks, and other sorts of vehicles. The enemy A.I is pretty good. Enemies will throw grenades when you're hiding behind cover to flush you out. The last thing is that you can actually plant charges, roll a boat, and all other sort of things in the game. The one that is new to the COD franchise is the melee combat. This is when you're being ambushed by a Nazi and you need to press a series of buttons in order to win the fight. This isn't a spectacular thing in the game in my opinion sense they're really easy. These kind of event is scattered across the campaign and is just like a little mini game. What really kicks in is the online multiplayer. Sadly there is no splitcreen of anykind, but you can still play it through system link or Xbox Live. The multiplayer also changes into a Battlefield game type of multiplayer. You get to choose classes such as a Riflemen, light infantry, heavy infantry, medic, and many others. Depending on which version you get the Xbox & PS2 versions can support up to 16 players. Vehicles will be available in multiplayer. The graphics in this game isn't even near the Xbox 360 or the PS3, but it is okay enough to play through the game in. The sound in this game is fantastic. The gun sounds has a really good punch to it, and the acting is good. The explosions is really good and it gives the battle field more chaos. The soundtrack is also good too. The campaign in this game should take you around 10 hours, but the multiplayer is fun and should last you awhile. Overall this is a really fun WWII shooter that people who loves the franchise should get. Even though I think COD2 has a better epic experience COD3 should deliver the same thing for those who haven't played COD2. Does that means this is a bad game, no, but it is a any WWII shooters fans should get.
