Some great stuff, but most of it's been done before.
The Gameplay: COD has some fairly interesting missions, playing as the Canadians is new, but the missions are all in all, similar. There is an auto aim feature in COD 3 that makes it way to easy to kill snipers in windows, or enimies from afar. But the odd mission is intense, and can become quite emersive. And there is a feature un-seen in other COD games, but it was sadly not as interesting as it could have been. In sertain spots in the game, you are forced to "fight" hand to hand with an enemy. This sounds awesome, but is somewhat disapointing, unfortunatly.
The Sound: Yes, bang bang, boom boom. But COD 3 does have very good sound, and sounds even better on a surround sound system. The sound really makes a difference in the quality. With planes flying over head, and artillery shells hitting all around you, it really puts you back to the days of 1944. The Value: COD 3 has a very, very short single player, so replay value is pretty much nill, but online does add some good fun. And there are always people playing, so online is a big deal.
Overall, Call Of Duty 3 is a good shooter. Awesome cut scenes, and some different playable factions. Me, being a very big WW II and WW I fan, will give any related game a try. COD 3 is good, not the best WW II game ever, but it's a game to have fun with, especially if you're into WW II!
