Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a great game that revolutionises the First Person Shooter Genre.
The visuals are amazingly detailed and the frame rate keeps up beautifully with the intense action happening on screen nearly all the time your playing. The story is immersing and fun to play im not going to spoil the story so dont worry. The sound is exceptional and volume of the shots fired are heard according to distance and you can always tell when someone is shooting behind you or a fair distance off. But one of the shining aspects of this amazing game is the multiplayer as you have probably heard.
The multiplayer is AMAZINGLY ADDICTING which are probably the only two words to describe. It is very deep and impossibly fun. Heaps of weapons and upgradeable options leave you with an addicting multiplayer experience. Challenges for individual weapons and actions leave you with something to aim for which give you experience points and various attachments for different weapons. When max level is reached you are given the option of going Prestige which takes away ALL your weapons and attachments and challenges in exchange for a new symbol/emblem.
There are 10 levels of Prestige each containing 55 levels, with each level of Prestige giving you a different symbol, but resetting everything after each level of Prestige. This is a way to extend your gaming experience and it is COMPLETELY OPTIONAL, you can stay at max level (55) if you want and just ignore Prestige all together.
The weapons are amazing and adaptable, including the MP5, M16, R700 Sniper Rifle, Mini Uzi, AK-47 and much more all with various unlockable attachments from challenges you complete.
Overall this is a great game but not worth the buy if you are unable to connect your console to the internet as the story only spans between 4-6 hours at the most.
