A Short Vision Of Mine.
like any other game you can notice pros and cons immediately when you start this game, i think thats if you have played the titles after this one and know and have a basic idea on the changes that comes after this specific title. nevertheless i think this title was indeed needed for the developers to upgrade or rather built the foundation of Call Of Duty Games anyhow, lets begin the review and see for our selves.
like all the rest of COD series this game has potentially strong violence with in,and it is rated "MA 15+ restricted" however 15 is rather very early for these games ,i think today it is more of a 18+.
you simply start the game with a training mission in a warehouse in which you test a lot of weapons such as the pistols and long ranged weapons, you also go through a level which is like a time trial map that you have to finish and submit your finishing time.very roughly the graphic in this training level looks good, you can see the little particles in between lights in the warehouse, isnt it wonderful?the weapons have a little glow that makes them standout and be possible for you to see them and pick them up quickly.the shadows however is not very pleasing for me, but the level itself also looks quiet authentic to me.
there are dozens of amazing cinematic "wow" moments in the game which is one of the basic reasons this game is what it is, for example when during a special mission you see a nuke(hydrogen bomb) detonate in front of your eyes, that chaotic scene has been made perfectly it almost feels like you are there to feel the fire and the wave of the bomb blast, just astonishing,im gonna remember that scene for a long time in my head.the soundtrack is also perfect like always and this was also the start of the soundtracks that this game is known for.some levels/scenes are more difficult than others to beat, but altogether it does make a fine balance of levels and difficulty.
the story could not be any better ,it is just superbly engineered.it has all the twists and elements to make you want more of it.
the levels actually match perfectly with the story, although characters are not perfect, they can make great contact with the players.what i mean by characters not being perfect is that for some reason the characters look cartoon like to me,i dont know if im making any sense or not but,the characters dont look real enough, they look ok but again they are not perfect.
the textures however, look great, the voices and sound effects match perfectly with everything else but for me the characters clearly need more time.
another thing i found interesting here in CODMW is the aiming system.it looks a lot different compared to MW2 it looks as if the zooming/aiming and the way the characters hold the weapons is very much different.an example would be that if you try aiming during the game, you sometimes dont get the perfect angle of the weapon ,sometimes you dont even see the rest of what you are holding and it just isnt as good as the MW2, in which while you are aiming you can see an out of focus weapon of what you are holding.so again the zooming system or rather the aiming system is faulty here.
the navigation and jumping also needs a bit more work to reach perfection, like if you try and run in this game it quickly stops after like 4 or 5 seconds and then if you quickly try to run again it doesnt work, jumping also needs work to reach the perfect realism.
my conclusion is that, this game changed the way the FPS world works forever and with the upcoming MW3, this game shines even more because its the foundation of the improved versions of COD games and no matter how much time passes CODMW will always be enjoyable to play.
i hope you enjoyed this short vision of CODMW review i will give this game a 8 out of 10.
