Well, it has its ups and downs, but there's so many awesome things!
I was at home sick this week so that meant a lot of time in front of the television. I played through the single player campaign on the easiest mode and I don't think I've ever been more pissed off at a video game. It does get very frustrating when there are some parts when you just keep on dying, dying, and dying. I'm sure that's just me though because everyone else seems to have no problem.
Anyways, I was annoyed at the gameplay because it seems that you can shoot an enemy five or six times and they just don't die. It's just very frustrating because you don't want to die from the surrounding enemies. I rather enjoyed the blood and gore in the game but there just wasn't enough! War is bloody and gruesome! I would've loved it if bodies didn't disappear and the blood stayed. That's not a big deal though; it's just a nice addition.
You get to use a whole bunch of different weapons which is super cool and you get to fly a couple helicopters which is such a blast! The stealth in the game is a ton of fun too even though there's really no stealth system. I love doing the special melee actions on unsuspecting enemies because it's something new just about every time. Overall, the gameplay for the campaign was rather fun but also very frustrating at the same time. It kind of killed the fun for me because I kept on dying but I'm sure that's because I'm not the best at these kinds of games.
The multiplayer I found is even more frustrating then the single player mode. It's just as frustrating as any other Call of Duty game online. I hear the same things through the headset: "As if he didn't die!" "I shot him first!" "How did he know where I was?"…etc. Even with my friends, I honestly don't have much fun online. I do a little bit better because they're like the kind of people that are really good at the game and they give me good tips. Overall, multiplayer isn't my kind of thing because it's, I find myself a little embarrassed to say, TOO HARD. It's no fun to play when you're getting killed every five seconds, I'm sure it's happened to everyone sooner or later. In the end, it's just like every other Call of Duty game online.
My all time favourite aspect of this game though is the zombies mode! I have tons and tons of fun playing with my friends. It's such a blast to blow apart zombies with trench guns and to be on the move all the time. The character's commentary is annoying but it's always funny to hear other people complain about it. It's overall the best mode in the game in my opinion and I'm glad I purchased it instead of renting because I don't feel it getting old anytime soon!
The graphics in the game are okay. They aren't the best but they aren't the worst either. I don't think graphics really break the game unless it's so pixilated that you can't see an enemy two feet in front of you. I didn't notice much frame rate drop or even any screen tearing so I was satisfied there. I loved the sound of all the guns. I think they sound much better then the ones in the previous Call of Duty's. The music fits the game pretty well and the dialogue is really well done. I don't have much to complain about there but then again, it's not too hard to please me when it comes to video games. The replay value is definitely there for anyone who loves zombies (like me!) and online play. Hours and hours of fun are to be had with this game.
In the end, I think this was a worthy purchase and it will definitely satisfy anyone who loves first person shooters and actions games. Hopefully some more zombie maps/features come out! There's my view on the game, thanks for reading!
