I just finished the single player campaign. I now find myself with some serious doubts about the intelligence level of some of these game reviewers that are actually paid to produce literary, subjective critiques of video games.

Anyone reading right now is a big-time gamer...as I am. Feel free to slam the door on my reivew here at any time and go on to better things. But if you have a couple minutes...read on to see what I have to say as I address three major areas that many people just don't understand.

1. As with everything in life, there is history. Gaming has history. Monopoly....Checkers.....Clue.....Life......Pictionary....why do we play these games. We play to compete, have fun, and to eventually (and hopefully) win. Have you ever played a 12 hour game of Clue? Video games are an evolution of gaming. Flat screen TV's have replaced game boards. Dice and spinners have been replaced by controllers. I know I play video games for exactly the reasons I just stated. Personnaly I can't stand playing one single game for 10-12-14......heck, 20 hours. No matter how varied the game play is, in that length of time, it gets old and approaches boring. Give me a game that I can play, compete, enjoy and win without having to take two vacation days from my job in order to get to the end of it. COD Black Ops is PLENTY long enough, despite what reviewers compain about. And guess what....I got to the end and I won...and I wasn't bored one second. I'm ready to play again.

2. Game modes. COD Black Ops puts together a package of the likes I've never seen before. Whoever buys the game, they are covered no matter what they are wanting to do. I saw a dozen reviews criticize the fact that they didn't have a co-op mode like Spec Ops that was contained in MW2. So let's knock off 10 points from the review score...huh? I can't stand reviewers that don't know how to review the game they've been given and are constantly reviewing the game based on their personal likes and dislikes from other games. Black Ops delivers the goods. For those of you who are dissapointed, trade it in.

3. Multiplayer vs Single player. Just a personal view....I hope we get to the day when games are made strickly a single player or a multiplayer game...when you buy it..you are buying either one or the other. Just think what game makers could do if all the resources and memory on a disc were all dedicated to just the game type and weren't spread so thin trying to put everything for everybody on one game disc.

COD Black Ops. It is the best FPS I've ever played, and I've played them all. The pacing and variety cannot be beat. Audio is phenomenal and graphics are beautiful. Hey...there are a couple glitches from time to time..like one soldier standing almost completely sideways while he was shooting his gun. But I remember when the spinner on the Game of Life came right out of the holder during a hard spin. That didn't phase us at all....we kept playing....AND I WON.
