Hardcore! Striking graphic realism with the feel of a cold war novel !

The game is a great recall of the Cold War era in novella form. Although real life characters were featured in this video game not all major players of the era were included as talking characters such Kissinger, LBJ, and Khruschev and then later Reagan and Gorbachev. This is due to the fact that Activision and Treyarch wanted to focus only on the an aspect of the Cold War era-- that which starts from the Bay of bigs invasion and finally ending in JFK's assassination. After all the game's title isn't Call of Duty: Cold War but Call of Duty: BlackOps.

There ought to be more challenges and medals apart from the Zombie mini game. A separate medal chest for the single player campaign would make this game more interesting. An example would be to display Medals via an officers uniform jacket together with campaign ribbons and other badges side by side.

Gameplay wise, Black ops definitely keeps you coming back for some more hardcore action. Seemingly, the trend now is for developers is to give video gamers more than challenging gameplay. If this is the case, it wouldnt hurt if Treyarch delivered additional storyline cutscenes and award bonuses the next time around.

This game is rated 8.5 out of 10.
