Call of Duty: Black Ops is a complete package with a few bugs present.

These bugs mainly concern optimisation, the biggest issue being the default settings in the game's config file, which automatically sets a person's PC to be a singled cored, multi-graphics card computer. This problem is easily fixed, however. Other than this, there is a problem concerning starting the Multiplayer part of the game first. Only when you run the singleplayer part of the game will the DirectX install properly. Once again, this is easily remedied.

Black Ops offers a highly immersive campaign with a storyline and delivery that I believe is the best in the series. Sure, there are some predictable parts of the plot, but isn't there in any game? Treyarch took a leap of faith in making their campaign unique, and I, for one, commend them for successfully pulling it off. Above all, the campaign makes you feel a number of different emotions, like any good film, and it is longer than Modern Warfare 2.

Other than the Campaign, Call of Duty: Black Ops offers a fantastic multiplayer experience. Almost everything about the multiplayer in Black Ops is a fine balance of weapon power, perks, map design, and many other elements to ensure that skill is the main factor in racking up kills; not cheap weapons or camping spots.
Other than the main ranked and unranked gametypes for earning experience aswell as COD points (a clever new system of currency that is required to buy weapons and unlock perks, equipment, etc.), there are of course wager matches: a number of different gametypes that pit you and 5 other people against each other with the same weapons at your disposal. Wager matches are tense, exciting games that earn you COD points so you can go ahead and buy more goodies for your custom classes.

While these 2 briefly described parts of the game, campaign and multiplayer, are the main body of a solid game, there is another gametype at your disposal: this being Zombies. Zombies is an extremely fun cooperative gametype where you and up to 3 other people can be pitted against hordes of zombies which get harder and harder as the levels progress. As you kill zombies and repair barricades, you also unlock points for which to buy an array of guns; activate turrets, electric bolts, or a range of other traps; or unlock doors which take you to another part of the map that has new things to offer. Throw in a map with JFK, Nixon, Castro and McNamara locked down together in the white house and offering their amusing commentary on the situation; zombies is a funny, thrilling, and enjoyable experience that no player should pass up on; and an experience that, at least for me, is the icing on the cake for Call of Duty: Black Ops.
