Late Review; Waited to See if my Opinion Changed and I think this Game is Simply Amazing and Still as addicting as Ever.
At first, i highly preferred the game styles of Modern Warfare 2. The Campaign for Black Ops is better in my opinion, but i loved the Online Play of Modern Warfare 2 even more, and to me, that is what these games are all about. With Black Ops, i missed having the Secondary Shotgun, and Unlimited Claymores. And that is what really made the difference. But when the Hackers took over the Online play for MW2, i then switched back over to Black Ops, which is by far one of my best decisions.
Despite not having Unlimited Claymores (The thing that racked up most of my kills in MW2) and Secondary Shotguns, i took a liking to it. The not having Secondary Shotguns, made me rely more upon it as my Primary Weapon, and in the long run improved not only my Black Ops Play, but my MW2 play as well. That much aside, i have grown to love the idea of No Unlimited Claymores or Secondary Shotguns because it is more of a Challenge, and i would rather have that then just dominate noobs day after day. lol.
As well as the Weaponry Change, i have grown to love the Money system. Rather than having to keep working and working to get the extra attachments for guns, you can simply just buy them within a few games with money you earn. I love the New Money system. I just prefer it over having to "Unlock Everything"....idk why. But it's definitely an upgrade in my opinion.
The Last thing i want to Praise this game for is the New Wager matches; Especially my two personal favorites "Sticks and Stones" and "One in the Chamber". For those of you whom don't know of these, allow me to explain. One in the chamber, is where you run around with a single shot in your pistol. Hit them with that one bullet and you get the kill, points, and reload of the bullet. If you miss, you'll have to knife to regain that bullet back. Pretty simple. Sticks and stones is where you use the Ballistic Knife, Tomahawk, and Cross Bow to get all of your kills. Tomahawks erase the opponents score if you hit em with it though. The thing i love about about these wager games is that they help you develop some of your skills with the weaponry even more. I've mastered the Cross Bow thanks to Sticks and Stones (although i'm not the best).
One thing i hate about this game is the respawning. It seems at least twice in a game, i'll respawn right in the middle of a firefight and end up getting killed in the process....I realize that you spawn near your teammates, but right in front of a guy shooting? That needs to be reworked. Also every now and then i'll blast a guy in the face with a Shotgun at close range and they'll survive it. But other than those, i find no reason to hate this game.
Great but Not Perfect, Black Ops gets a 9/10 for me. Good Day to you ladies and Gents, and have a wonderful time playing black ops.
