Black Ops has it's ups and downs
The graphics on this game are on the scale of World at War with a few improvements here and there. If you are expecting this game to look better than Modern Warfare 2 you are going to be dissapointed.
There are quite a few gun selections but the majority of players you see online use the Hamas or AK47u. There is only one real good sniper rifle the PSG1 which is the last one to unlock and purchase. The only bad thing is this game doesn't seem to be as sniper friendly as other COD games.
You are able to create you own playertag in which you can customize with different icons, letters and numbers. You have to use your COD points to buy pretty much everything in this game. It's not like MW2 where you have to do certain objectives or level up and then it automatically gets unlocked.
The majority of the maps suck, even with the 1st strike map pack downloaded I am still not very happy with the maps.
BlackOps does support online splitscreen multiplayer for 2 players including an offline mode with bots. This was a very nice feature and fun to be able to play COD with your friends online. However for the PS3 version, the secondary account is just an extension of yours. You will not be able to save anything to a personal profile or anything like that.
There is no vehicles in the game besides killstreaks that you aquire. So if your expecting the tank from World at War to return you will not find it.
Nothing mindblowing about this game and if you have played other COD games you will feel right at home.
