I think your character is either blind, or maybe it has something to do with your TV's brightness settings.
The good things:
-Gameplay has a good system, I really liked it.
-The characters have some good depth, you get to learn back story about them.
-Graphics are decent on the PS2.
-Online play is pretty good, no lag issues. Only problem is that not a lot of people still play this so it may not be a fun time looking for people to play with.
-Gameplay isn't very repetitive.
The bad things:
-The most annoying gun sound effects I've ever heard.
-On some TVs it may be so dark that all you can see is just your gun, a white cross hair, and and maybe some frequent walls. You'll be running around trying to navigate your character through the abyss for a while.
-Certain points in levels are cheap and extremely difficult and can lead to lots of frustration. I gave up on this game after trying a level 5-10 times.
-Long loading screens
-The scenery and setting is kind of dull and seems the same throughout the whole game.
Now the bad things in this game definetly pull the game down more than the good things pull it up. I don't think that $14.99 was worth spending on this.
I suggest you rent this or borrow it from a friend before buying.
I give this game a 4.5 for my good reasons.
