Although PC Call of Duty fans will be disappointed by this console version, Finest Hour still has some good moments.

User Rating: 8.4 | Call of Duty: Finest Hour PS2
When the PC version of Call of Duty was released back in 2003, it stood out as a great game and had it's own unique style, despite the fact that many of the developers at the time wanted to focus on war themed games. The console version really had a direct change, from the transition from the PC to the game platforms, the game engine had to be toned down in order for it to be playable on consoles. Even though the Gamecube and PS2 suffers from random fps drops, the game is still very similar to the PC version, you are fighting as a soldier from 3 perspectives and have short linear missions on each of the 3 sides. The overall feel of the game hasn't change from the PC one, but the having it on a console isn't that bad, the controls on the PS2 and the X-Box feel just right. If you have 5.1 Channel surround sound speakers than thats really all you need to enjoy Call of Duty's great soundtrack and very realistic sounds, gunfire, explosions, soldiers screaming on top of their lungs, straining out their orders. Despite a few glitches of clipping, and random drops of fps, this is still a strong First Person Shooter/ World War II game.
