Call of Duty suffers from repetitive gameplay and overall, it just wasn't very entertaining.

I decided to get a war game since I don't really have many. I was hoping that Call of Duty: Finest Hour would satisfy my expectations. I expected a war game with hundreds of soldiers fighting by my side and tons of variety in missions. What I got was a repetitive game with a few good aspects, but it was not what I was looking for.

The gameplay is so bland in this game. The weapons are not very fun to use, and they feel to similar and I don't feel like I'm shooting a real World War 2 gun. When 100s of enemies are just pouring at you and you are killing them in two shots a piece, it just gets so boring. The only thing I liked was having to dodge artillery shells in trenches. The D-Day re-enactment was too weak, and I wish it was more realistic. You did have the ability to drive a tank, but the controls were so bad that you felt like going on foot.

When I saw the commercial, I expected to be dodging air craft fire and see buildings blowing up all over, but it wasn't nearly as intense in the game like it was depicted in the commercial. The graphics were pretty good overall, but the character models could be better. In general, I thought this game was ok, but it wasn't what I was looking for. I wanted something more like Killzone, with the constant sounds of war. Finest Hour provided me with some of the "unfinest hours" I have experienced in games in a while.
