A good FPS if you like that stuff.

User Rating: 8 | Call of Duty: Finest Hour PS2
Call of Duty: Finest Hour is not the same game available for the PC. It's a whole new campaign designed specifically for the consoles. As a WWII first-person shooter it gets the job done, but nothing more. The campaign is somewhat varied and the North African section is a nice change of pace but is extremely short.

The graphics are average at best and i wish the animation of the soldiers would be better. Sometimes you'll have to guess if he's dead or not... you'll end up wasting ammo just to make sure he's really dead. The levels are not as detailed as they should be but it's still get a passing mark.

The sound fares better than the graphic, but is nowhere near of what the PC version offers. Still, for the PS2, they are better than average. The gun sounds good and the music succeeds in setting the mood.

The gameplay is your standard FPS on a console.. everything controls well but i wish they would of included the ability to cook grenades. Some missions are harder then others (the first mission of the US campaign is the hardest one) but with a little patience and practice you should be able to finish this game under 10 hrs. There's no real reason to comeback to the game once it's finished but there's always the online section which is decent, if anyone still plays it.

If you love FPS you should check out this game. I wasn't blown away but I'm glad i did get a chance to play it. I'm a sucker for WWII shooters ;)
