Call of Duty: Finest Hour for the PS2 is a console version of 2003's Call of Duty for the PC. Call of Duty for the PC was an amazing game, and the port to the consoles was watered down, but I liked it better, and I'll soon tell you why. I'll start my review by saying, I love FPS games. I was really big on them, up until the end of 2003, then at the end of 2004, Call of Duty: Finest Hour came out, and I got back into FPS. In Call of Duty for Pc, you had to carry flags, drive vehicles, use tactics, and blow things up. In Call of Duty: Finest hour, you mearely have to destroy tanks, and shoot at Nazis. Shoot the nazis, shoot them! Why is it so fun? Because there are so many nazis, and in so many places, it's too fun watching you fire at a nazi, and watching him die painfully. It feels so life-like. The graphics are decent. At times they are amazing, especially for the PS2 version, but at others, (on all consoles) they look kind of childish. The character models sometimes look like animals in a cartoon. Hard to believe? The sound is great. A nicely placed orchestra plays its songs throughout this game, and they are magnificent and flawless. The guns sound okay, not too real, but pretty nice. It's good that there are a lot of them, but no pistols or shotguns? That angers me. All i see are rifles, automatics, and machine guns. That isn't very good. You do get to control tanks, and who can live without that? So Call of Duty: Finest Hour, in my opinion, is a very nice game, that gets very intense, and very fun! The nazis charge..... the tanks are pulling up.... FIRE!!! GET THE NAZIS GET EM!!! AHHHHHHHHHH1!!!!!
