Great game. Very nice, intense gameplay. Somethings could stand some improvement though.

User Rating: 8.8 | Call of Duty: Finest Hour PS2
Call of Duty finest hour is one of the most underrated games I have ever seen. I got into the call of duty series when COD2 came out. I liked it so much that I decided to try the console spinoffs off the COD series. I heard good and bad things about Finest Hour, so I decided to check it out first. I think the game follows in the path of what made the COD series on the PC such a success. Instead of closed, urban fighting all the time like in most of the medal of honor series, the map is spread out and you have a large field of battle at times and you can take different paths to complete your objective. Aiming down your sights is also included, a feature made popular by the original COD.

Intensity is somewhat lost in the transistion to consoles but not so much that it becomes an issue, it still is, by most standards, a very intense and immersing game.

One of the positives of the COD series and is continued here is the tank driving missions. Though the aiming is somewhat off, the missions are very rich in intensity and hardcore COD fans will really enjoy them, despite this minor short coming.

One of the negatives of the game is the lack of checkpoints. Players might find themselves frustrated by having to go many minutes back in gameplay after dying.

Multiplayer is everything you have come the expect from the series. Very intense, rich and fun.

Overall the game gets around an 8 from me. It staying true to the chararistics of the series will really please hardcore COD series fans. It's intense gameplay will please overall WW2 genre FPS fans. This game is truly underrated and deserves more than what gamespot gave it.
