A Shameless Port
- Single player is varied, though a bit short
- Weapons are nice, perks are unique and different
- Maps are generally good, though some are conducive to camping
CONS:
- 60$
- Quite obviously ported (menus, lack of lean, multiplayer)
- Lack of console
- No major graphical improvements from COD4 (not normally an issue but it is if they wanna charge more)
- IWnet ranges between bearable lag and choppy (despite always having 2-4 bars)
- Host migration ruins the flow, already played with one hacker
- Death streaks are too much, kill streaks can be overpowered
- Lack of lean is really annoying
- Required steam integration is annoying
- Hit registration is noticeably off at times, though fine at others
- Doesn't feel like a classic COD game (always run and gun)
CONCLUSION:
As a previous fan of a great franchise, the multiplayer component of this game is disappointing and lackluster. Great potential was squandered with the implementation of a broken multiplayer lobby system, poor hit registration and several other minor issues. 60$ price tag for a console port adds insult to injury, especially for those who have consistently followed the series.
