Best Call of duty yet. Despite the new and not quite as good multiplayer system.

User Rating: 8.5 | Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 PC
EDITED: This review was edited but I only changed the multiplayer part of the review, the rest was kept the same.

The amazing and action packed campaign gives you thrills from start to finish. Then when you're done with that you can head over to the online aspect which is what CoD is really about. How they are handling the online is what is under attack and is not quite as good as the old way but expect it to be something that more games do in the near future. So is it worth the extra $10? Yes it is, and you will not be disappointed.

GRAPHICS: 9.0
Great graphics for the most part, a bit hardware heavy if you try to run at max but still looks great at a bit lower graphics level. There seems to be more debris in the world that really brings the maps to life unlike any other Call of Duties, but like all other CoDs there is plenty that looks under par from close up.

CONTROLS: 9.7
Smooth and simple with lots of options without leaving you feel overburdened. That is a very difficult thing to balance in games but MW2 does it wonderfully. There are also a lot more options for where you can climb obstacles in the game compared to the first which gives you plenty of options of pathways to get you to where you want to go throughout the level.

GAMEPLAY: 9.8
All of the levels whether campaign or online are wonderfully designed that feel natural and are easy to navigate though. The campaign is action packed (although short) and keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish with challenging but never cheap missions. The challenges and unlocks are better than ever, and the ability to decide what killstreak and death streak abilities you use are amazing upgrades to the game.

SOUND: 9.2
Just about as good as they get in a game with only a couple improvements that could be made here or there, but nothing that distracts you from the game itself.

STORY: 9.3
Original, and risky. They take the battle to American soil in this game which I can't recall being done before in a present day scenario. But because it isn't really an RPG you may find yourself a little bit lost in the story at times and wondering exactly why you are where you are and why you are doing what you are doing.

MULTIPLAYER: 8.5 ~> EDITED 4.0
At first I did not mind the newer multiplayer matchmaking that was incorporated but lately it is getting more and more on my nerves. Without the dedicated servers no only can you not play with mods, user created maps, the same usual people over again, whatever settings you want, have moderators ban cheaters from the server, ect, ect, ect. But one of the biggest problems I have with the matchmaking is that if I go to play TDM and someone is cheating in there and making the game no fun then if I quit and have match making find me another TDM game, then it is almost always the one I just left with the cheater. So I would then be forced to join an entirely different game type just to avoid the cheater, and then HOPE that I don't get matched with another.
The game is still playable for the most part since you can usually avoid any cheater ok, but it is getting worse and worse and I may edit this post later on the lower the score some more once the cheating gets too out of hand to play.
