What was said to be the must have FPS game of last year, this was mostly true.

Modern Warfare 2 was one supposed to be the best FPS in the year 2009. Altho the story was not as easy to track as the original Modern Warfare but the characters do a great job of drawing you into the story if you understand what character you are currently playing. To understand the story easier you may want to first pick up the original game. You are offered to skip a level that may disturb you. If you do you may miss a crucial part of the story. I skipped it the first time round, but when playing through the second time around and doing this mission you understand the story allot more so I would advise you not to skip. Overall the story is sweet but short, I think the main reason was because of the focus on the multiplayer.

A great game if you are just going on the multiplayer, well that's most people did buy it for right. The changes they have made are absolutely great not changing the actual gameplay much just adding much more stuff to tweak like call signs, emblems, skins. A ton of more weapons, challenges, and equipment. It is full of the same modes with not many changes but there is no need for change. They have basically just got the original game and gave it some fun extras.

Instead of the Nazi Zombies a new mode has been added Special Ops. Which are basically bite size chunks of the campaign. There are three difficulties, you can choose to solo those missions or do them with friends split screen or online. Sadly the difficulty is not toned down when you are trying to solo, so if you want to get all 69 stars you might want to grab a friend.

Overall a great game of 2009.
