I paid 15 bucks for this?

User Rating: 6.5 | Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - Stimulus Package X360
You see this, ladies and gentlemen? This is why people get skittish about buying things on day one. MW2's insanely hyped Stimulus Package has dropped, and the result so far has been an astounding "meh". Let's take a systematic approach and discuss each map, shall we?

---Storm---

Storm is a small map riddled with equal amounts long sight lines and cramped indoor quarters. Anyone familiar with MW2 can tell you this idea's biggest problem-- it invites "noob tubers" to get the dozens of kills that a combination of rifle-mounted grenade launcher (or the Thumper or AT-4 for that matter) and the perk Scavenger can allow. While it does allow for tons of fast-paced, frantic gameplay, it will only take one person using a tube to start the fragfest. Keep a grenade launcher ready just in case.

Great for - TDM (standard), Demolition,
Bad for - Hardcore TDM, Sabotage, S&D, CTF, Ground War

---Bailout---
Bailout has a similar layout to Storm, but a combination of well-placed stairs and window frames keep tubes from being as much trouble. There are plenty of areas where each weapon has it's uses, but it feels like players online rarely, if ever, use the road running through the middle of the map. Very few places can survey the road in it's entirety, but it just seems like a deathtrap.

Great for - TDM (Standard & Hardcore), Sabotage, S&D, Demolition, Ground War
Bad for - CTF

---Salvage---
Salvage is by far my favorite map, and the only one that makes me feel I got anything for my money. Very few sight lines mean Snipers need to fight for their kills, which always puts smile on my face running about with a rifle. there seems to always be a weak point to each strong spot on this map, which I see as the best kind of multiplayer map. Of course this kind of close-range fighting means shot-gunners and rocket users can wreak havoc on anyone providing they know what to do.

Great for - TDM (Standard), Demolition, CTF
Bad for - Ground War, Hardcore TDM, S&D

---Crash---
As much as I want to scold whoever put the old maps in this pack, I'm happy to see Crash back. The map is iconic for CoD4 players, as it damn well should be. It's brilliantly designed, and just like Salvage, there's no one point that cannot be taken with skill. Odds are you remember this thing, so I'll go no further.

Great for - TDM (Both), CTF, Ground War, S&D
Bad for - ......2-Player split-screen?

---Overgrown---
Oh...It's you again...I hated this map, but I do see why people like it. There's a tension to it, realizing that the entire enemy team may be waiting in the brush beyond that bridge you have to cross, or nobody. You won't know until it's too late though, especially with Thermal sights available in this game.

Great for - TDM (Standard), Ground War, S&D
Bad for - Hardcore TDM, Sabotage, CTF
