Another MW2 map that is overpriced but undeniably fun

User Rating: 7.5 | Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - Resurgence Pack X360
Players like myself were very disappointed with paying $15 for the first map pack... We like new content but it wasn't worth the money. Well the new map pack is here and, once again, it might not be worth $15 but the maps sure are great and should be purchased if you have the spare money laying around.

The maps -

Fuel: This is a big map with oil pumps on one end and some structures throughout the rest of the map. There are also some outdoors boulder areas... Its a very fun map and large enough for campers and snipers to have fun with and enough close-quarters for run-and-gunners to enjoy too. One of MW2's best maps.

Carnival: This is the specialty map people have been waiting for. It's a completely different feeling to see clowns, rollers coasters, spaceships, etc in a Call of Duty map. Thankfully, it's done right because its a gloomy environment, not a colorful happy place, and it makes the player constantly think to themselves how cool the place would've been if there hadn't been a war. Also, it's very easy to communicate on this level since teammates can easily describe the locations.

Trailer Park: This is a love or hate map. It's small, fast and confusing. If you run and gun you might dominate, or you might get slaughtered by a camper. And if you camp you might dominate, or you might be found within seconds each time. Snipers will have trouble with this map. In fact this map is smaller than even the Scapyard map. It's a visually nice map that shows the usual MW2 glory but you'll either love it or hate it.

Strike: This is from the original MW and updated to MW2 standards. It's a fun map with three main travel sections that map it a classic. The alley, the statue, and the main road. This map offers advantages to both sides and methods for every type of player which is why it's such a classic.

Vacant: This is a love or hate map, I think. It's a conversion from the MW map. Campers take advantage of the indoors areas a bit too much, though run-and-gunners should probably just stick to the hallways and outdoors and not put themselves in the fire of people camping in the warehouse and the large back room in the first place. If campers camp, and run-and-gunners show no constraint, then it becomes a slaughter-fest and the map becomes confusing and not very entertaining. Still, it's a good map.

So should you buy map pack #2? If you can spend $15 without cringing then definately buy it since the nights it will keep you home playing MW2 will save you $15 pretty quickly.
