(multiplayer review)
I know I am reviewing this game 9 months after release, but I want to make my opinion on the game heard. I bought this game the day it came out, since Call of Duty 4 was the first online shooter I had ever played and gotten addicted to. I played CoD4 right up until the release of MW2, completely skipping over World at War because I thought going back to WW2 was little bit counterproductive. I loved CoD4's fluid, balanced gameplay and complete immersion into the world of the game. Let me repeat balanced. Balanced. Every "nooby" weapon or benefit in Call of Duty 4 was balanced. For example, when you used a grenade launcher attachment in CoD4, it replaced your first perk so you were at a loss there. Modern Warfare 2 did not do this. If you used the RPG x2 in CoD4, it replaced your first perk. Modern Warfare 2 did not do this. Do you notice a pattern? Also, Infinity Ward focused on limiting the amount of camping spots in Call of Duty 4, making conflict the main focus of talent. They seemed to throw this intuition aside when designing the maps for Modern Warfare 2, which is extremely irritating for obvious reasons. The only true improvement this game had over Call of Duty 4 is the graphics, but I don't care for graphics if gameplay is a load of crap. Please people, if you're going to purchase a Call of Duty title, make it Modern Warfare 1 or even Call of Duty 2. It took me 6 months of worshiping this game just because of the title to realize how crappy it was.

Pros:
Graphics
Pretty cool guns
Title/Emblem
Special Ops (pretty fun with a friend)

Cons:
Unbalanced gameplay
Unbalanced maps

The stolen Call of Duty 4 campaign, put on steroids.
