COD: Modern Warfare 3 as some new things but it is still the same game and it is too much for just an expansion pack.

Visuals:
The visuals for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 are good but the same as the last two games with the visuals in Modern Warfare 2 just a bit better with the lighting effects in part 2 turn up a bit brighter then the first Modern Warfare and that is most noticeable in the on-line in Modern Warfare 2. So but that is two and this is Modern Warfare 3 and as I said they are good and when I popped this in my 360 to play the single player and I will admit that they looked great and quite improved from the last game as I was playing this game for the first few mission's as they did in the last Call of Duty game and I'll mention Black-ops and that game's visuals for the first few mission's were pretty impressive but as Black-Ops went on and the visuals for Black-Ops just went from great to what the hell just happen as right before your eyes as the visuals for that game were going from pretty amazing to look at by the end of that game you were probably asking your self like I did when did I pop in World at War or even Modern Warfare one and the same happen with this game and I'm not trying to be harsh but it is just my point of view and from the visuals for the first few mission's this game's visuals looked really impressive and really great but as the game whore on the great visuals started to not be that impressive except for the two missions that take place in Paris, France where those missions looked really great and even a cut scene where you get to watch something very drastic and if have played this game then you know what I'm talking about and if you haven't and you want to see except the scene then say yes to the option and you will get to see it and I'll say it is just as bad the opening scene from Homefront but not too similar and I'll just leave it at that.

So the detail's to some of the environment's and location's like New York, Paris and I think it was Germany that looked really impressive and some the other locations in this game like when the game takes you through areas like Somalia and let me say this about the detail to the Somalian setting looked really poorly done and the detail to the Somalian pirates or militia or Rebels or what ever they are called most of detail to them looked better then the local of Somalia but still looked the same as the one you did in MW2 that took you through Brazil and these enemies looked exactly the same detail in clothing and different colors in skin and the other locations did not look as great as the ones I mention in New York, Paris and Germany. The detail to the characters are done pretty well from all of them from Frost to Soap and Price and in some parts of this game they did not look very impressive in some of the cut scenes and in most of the other cut scenes in this game they were pretty nice but still as the game whore on from begging to end the detail to character's looked good but by the end they did not. So in short for the visuals for this game are they are pretty impressive but they do not stand up to such visuals like in other game and most of us know what games I'm talking about and so I will not mention them, but I'll just say this and as said earlier is that these visuals from the start of the game look very impressive but as the game goes on the visual do not look all that impressive and by the end of the game you would be thinking as I did they great while they lasted and when did I pop in Modern Warfare 2.

Audio:
The audio for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and now I will be more serious as I always am and as always the audio for this game and the series is pretty impressive from the voice work to the the musical score and to some of the weapons and most of the effects of of the weapons and guns sound way better then they did in Black ops and a bit better then Modern Warfare 2. The sounds of the guns and weapons or most of them any sounded pretty good and I played this game using my turtle beach head set for the Dolby 5.1 surround sound and this game actually sounded pretty good through the head set and made the weapons, guns and the explosions sound pretty good but still not as great as the sound is in a certain game series that most of us should all know and love or hate and I'll just say that this games sounds of the games weapons are pretty good and I'll say this that the sounds of the weapons for this sound a lot better then they did in Black Ops where in that game they sounded like air rifles and in this game most the guns and other weapons sound like guns as they do in another game that we all know.

So now the sound track/musical score is pretty good as always but still sounds to similar to what this modern warfare series as had for the pass two game with some new sounds for the musical scoring and sound track and I just say that the sound track/musical score is just pretty good for what it is with it trying to inspiring and keeping you in the mood of the game. Now the voice over work for this game is as always pretty spectacular with cast the is lead by Billy Murray who does the voice work for Price and Kevin McKidd from ( Rome & Grey's Anatomy ) as 'Soap' Mactavish and with some great Hollywood talent to support them from the lights of Bruce Greenwood of such films like ( Double Jeopardy and Star Trek ) and the T.V show that is out now ( The River ) and Timothy Olyphant from such films and T.V shows like ( Hitman, Live Free or Die Hard and Crazy's ) and T.V show that is on now is ( Justified ), and so the cast of this game is pretty amazing voice work is pretty dead on their marks and as it always as done for the series as produced some of the best voice over work for some time and it is done pretty well for Modern Warfare 3. So in short the audio for this game is that it is pretty great as it always is.

Gameplay:
So the gameplay for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's single player takes place right where Modern Warfare 2 left of and as you play as a new new character that is with Price and Soap by the name of Yuri who you will eventually find out that he wants Makarov dead just as much as Price does and you play as another new character that is part of Delta Force by the name of Frost and you will play through variant of locals and as Delta Force you go through New York, Paris and Germany and with Price's Special Task Force 141 you get to travel through locals such as India, Somalia, Sierra Leone and Prague and the game will put you in the boots of an Russian F.S.O agent by the name of Harkov on a plane to protect the the Russian President and you will be in the boots of an S.A.S member by the name of Burns and as Burns you will have to investigate and try to stop an attack from happening in London and you get to play as Price in a mission which is petty fun and yet it was a bit repetitive.

So when playing this game's single player and you have to do the same thing as always shoot, shoot some more with better check point's then what was in Black-Ops and Modern Warfare 2 and at least you do get a breather in between wave of enemies that you have to kill and at least the game's story kind of fills some holes that were left out of the last Modern Warfare game and this game will take you back to the first game and the second game and show you how Yuri is tied in to the story and this game will run you about 5 and a half hours or so on regular and another 7-8 hours on veteran and if you are in to looking for the hidden Intel items then that might run an extra 2 hours or so and this game campaign is really short and a bit of a let down because I did not really feel for some of the character's at all and if you really like a character through out this series then you might miss him and that's if you have played the campaign yet or not and if you did then you already know and if you have not played the campaign yet then I'm not going to spoil it for you. So in short for the single player is this the campaign really does well in filling in some of the blanks that we're left out in the second game and the campaign is good enough to keep you entertained for a bit but it really did not live up to hype to much and the campaign is just way to short and the game left me really disinterested as I played through the campaign and so the single player is just good enough to be decent.

Multiplayer:
The on-line for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is probably and not just for this game but for the whole series is it strong point and it is the breed and butter for this game and the series and for me the guys at Sledgehammer games and Infinity Ward made some changes and have added some new weapons and some new modes to the on-line and the Co-op side of things. So in this game you have the standard modes like Team Deathmatch, Search & Destroy, Sabotage and all the standard mode that some people might like or maybe they do and then you have their Hardcore counter parts and one of the new modes is called Kill confirmed where you do not record a kill until you have recovered that persons dog tags that as drop and the same goes for if some one kills you and your team can pick up your fallen dog tag to deny that person and team a kill and as I played this mode it reminded me of how Crysis 2 had their set up was if you got a kill it recorded the kill but to record a kill streak you had to collect some dog tags that the other players dropped and that was pretty cool and then their is another mode by the name of Infection which is the exact same thing as Halo's Infection mode and the other new mode which is called Drop zone where this mode is similar to Gears of War's King of the Hill or that other mode that is in Gears where you have to hold a zone or area to score points.

So the the on-line is pretty much the same as it always is just with a couple new modes and weapons and here are some of the new changes that they made to this game and that is they changed kill streaks to point streaks where we saw this in 2010's Medal of Honor and have three strike packages to choose from and the first package is the Assault package where it give you set of aggressive kill streaks from acquiring a good point streak and then you have the Support package where you can put together a good point streak to acquire to get you self some defensive kill streaks and if you die you do not lose your pint streak with this package and the last package you have to unlock is specialist and this package you will unlock a series of perks every two kills or so and as you unlock these perks with this package you get stronger, faster and almost become a beast and now except for this package which seems to be the best because with this game having a point streak system the first two packages are similar to how Medal of Honor was and get enough points together you get to choose between an assault strike or an defensive strike.

Their is one problem that kind of plagues this series and it has been since Modern Warfare 2 and that is the lag that is in this game on-line when I first tried the on-line it was pretty smooth but over the last few time's I have played this game it has been so laggy and constant host migration's like in Modern Warfare 2 and in Black-Ops and so I'm basically saying this game does not have much dedicated servers and the leveling system easier to level up in this game with the choice at the beginning when you start you get to choose from list of Prestige perks that you can benefit from. So in short for the on-line is pretty much the same thing as it always is just with a few new modes and weapons and some minor changes, but who do they think they are kidding it the same game over and over time for some thing new.

Co-op:
Now the Co-op side of thing for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is back with Spec-ops and a new mode called Survival mode. So I'll start with the new mode Survival mode and this mode is where you can play through it by your self or with a friend locally on the same system or on-line with someone and so this mode is basically the same thing as Gears' Horde mode and Halo's Firefight and some other game game's but they let you play with up to 4 players but here they let only play with up to one other person or play by yourself and this mode is fun for a while but it does get a bit repetitive after a while.

Now the last mode is the Spec-ops mode and you go through a variety of mission's and unlock new ones from completing a time or certain objective's in a set time that you have to complete in order to get a few stars just like in Modern Warfare 2 and you have a currency in this mode and in Survival mode to unlock some new weapons and perks and some gadgets to help you got through the missions and the waves in Survival mode. So in short for the Co-op modes in this game are pretty and the new mode is pretty fun but gets repetitive after a while and the old Spec-ops is basically more of the same bit mor balanced then it was in Modern Warfare 2 and the Co-op is fun while it lasts.

Overall:
The overall point for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is this you get pretty good visuals that but not for the whole game, the audio for this is as it always is in this series it's spectacular, the campaign is good but it lacks what Modern Warfare 1 had and the game is shorter than the last 2 games in the series and I mean Modern Warfare 2 and Black-Ops and the on-line is good with some new added modes and some new weapons and some minor changes and the new Co-op mode Survival is fun while it lasts and Spec-ops is moe balanced but still feels the same as the old version. So it is hard to recommend this game for a $60 dollar price tag and if have not bought this game yet then wait for it to drop in price a bit $60 dollars is to much for a few new modes and basically an expansion pack for the on-line and the story, it's just not worth the headache.
