Modern Warfare 3 Campaign Barely Keeps You Playing On, But Multiplayer Is It's Strength
This sadly is the weakest part of Modern Warfare 3, the Campaign loses pace and my interest over time, and even before the middle of the Campaign I lost interest and moved onto the Multiplayer aspect of the game. The problem some have found with Call of Duty and it's Multiplayer content is never truly changes, only improved and additions made to the content. Put simply, Multiplayer in Modern Warfare 3 is just what it has been in every other title before it, even in the Black Ops series recently released. While some would find this off-putting, boring and dull, it is still fun to turn on and play for a few hours, rising in ranks and unlocking new classes and weapons.
The Good:
- Multiplayer returns with several new game modes including Kill Confirmed, and Team Defender. The good old-fashioned Multiplayer style and layout returns, with more weapons, kit and equipment to use.
- Campaign returns and concludes the Modern Warfare story-arc, with a revenge-filled ending.
The Bad:
- Campaign is lackluster, and feels boring, irritating as nothing much has been improved, the Campaign in Modern Warfare 3 is simply the conclusion to the story-arc.
- Multiplayer may still be fulfilling, yet nothing has been revolutionized, and graphically still feels like older Multiplayer models in past installments.
Nowadays you can get a hold of a copy of Modern Warfare on both PS3 and Xbox 360, for just under £10 in most game shops in the UK second-hand. It's worth picking up if you haven't experienced it as yet, however with the release of Black Ops 2, and the upcoming Ghosts, it's not really worth the cost.
