Long time call of duty fan. Disappointed in the direction this series is going.
Were this game is going backwards:
Guns have been flattened out so much, that putting any thought into customizing your load out is now pointless because you really dont get a completive edge like you used to.
Lack of flow is spawn layout, so you have a sense of where battle line is in the map. Just randomly spawn everywhere, so there is no sense of controlled territory.
Horrible spawn system that leads to frequent spawn killing.
Smaller mp maps mean a more random and spatic play.
Unrealistic knife from 30 feet away.
"Halo bunny hopping" across the map is everywhere and sadly, it works.
Sniper rifle "quick scoping" is also unrealistic and goofy.
Where this game could move forward, but hasnt:
Larger maps, with 3 and 4 story buildings.
More interactive and destructible environments.
Vehicles.
4 person co-op and campaign.
Thats my honest opinion. Its a shame, but it seems this game has gone the way of Madden, just live of the name and put a new release out every year with minor tweaks, most of which are bad tweaks. I will not be buying this game next year. This bums me out.
I am in no was a fanboy of Battlefield, in fact I can say that I thought battlefield 2 was horrible. I played it at a friends last year and was very glad I did not buy it. They have turned a corner with Battlefield 3, they improved the gun mechanics and graphics. I picked up battlefield 3 last week and have been playing it non-stop, it a refreshing and fun game. recommend it to anyone who is disappointed with MW3.
