A highly addictive FPS with many faults but keeps you coming back for more!!!

User Rating: 8 | Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 X360
After a very disappointing Black ops, Infinity Ward has provided us with Modern Warfare 3, this game is an improvement but it is still as addictive and frustrating as all the other Call of Duty games. Although it has a few faults like overpowered guns and easy-to-earn Kill streaks, it is great fun at times.

In the Campaign, you play mainly as Yuri as just like MW2 you are helping in the struggle to kill Makarov. At one point during the campaign you have to save the president as Makarov is trying to get nuclear codes from him. You have to save the presidents daughter while trying to save the president. As a whole, the campaign is fun at times, for example raining down missiles from an AC130 or calling in A-10 strafing runs is extremely satisfying. But large scale firefights begin to get tedious.

The Multi-Player aspect of this game is highly addictive but extremely frustrating as you are constantly being killed by the same guns that are too powerful compared to other guns. The new gun leveling system for attachments, proficiencies and gun camouflages is brilliant and Specialist Kill Streaks are also a great addition to Call of Duty. The quick leveling provides constant motivation to keep playing and gaining prestige tokens for Double exp, new class slots etc means you need to make new decisions every time you prestige.

The sound in this game is quite good, especially in the campaign, the explosions sound somewhat realistic and the guns do sound reasonable good. The graphics in this game are certainly a step up from its predecessor but still they are not as good as they should be considering the technology we have at our disposal at this current point in time.

Overall, this game gets an 8/10, it would be impossible for it to get a 10 as there are too many frustrating aspects of this game. Its not a bad game but sometimes the bad things show through more than the good things.
