COD WAW is an excellent WW2 shooter, probably the best, with great gameplay and great graphics COD has never been better

User Rating: 9.5 | Call of Duty: World at War PS3
INTRO: COD WAW or COD 5 is a fantastic WW2 game. Possibly the best, it combines two epic campaigns into 10hrs of thrilling single player gameplay, then lets you relive it all again, this time with a friend in co-op mode. WAW also boasts one of the best multiplayer experiences ever. Oh yeah you can fight Nazi zombies as well!

GAMEPLAY: Its classic COD controls at sun dawn, and I'm sure you know the deal, you can toss frag and smoke grenades, fire detailed weaponry and look down the sights for a better shot then give a close enemy a nice stab. But this time a new guy is on in the armoury, COD 5 is the first COD to give you a flamethrower to mess around with. It is easily my favourite weapon, as there is something strangely enjoyable, watching your unlucky foes scream and burn. But of course there are loads of other guns that you would expect to see, MP40s, Thompson's, Colts, M1s etc. The single player campaign, I think, gives access to every gun at one point or another, this gives missions a lot of variety, even if objectives are pretty similar and basic WW2 stuff. But the best feature has to be the mini game "Nazi Zombies" it's a fantastic idea. You are hauled up in some creepy building, alone or with a couple of mates as hordes of un-dead Nazis close in on you. Gradually getting faster and tougher as each new wave approaches. Technically this mini game could go on forever, as it only ends when you, or the whole of your squad die in the same round. But it could go on for ever if you had a freakish talent.

GOOD: Brilliant graphics, a basic but good story, two excellent campaigns, amazing multiplayer on and offline, the incredible Nazi Zombies feature, loads of great memorable moments, superb soundtrack and the limitless fun of the flamethrower!

BAD: Can get boring after prolonged playing, way to addictive! The main campaign could have been a bit longer.

OVERVIEW: Call of Duty: World at War is a great FPS, and the best WW2 experience to date, do not miss it!
